I thought it might be nice to include a little bit of what happenens behind the scenes as I am trying to capture some of these unusual images I create.

Scene # 1& 2 are called rear curtain exposures. The lens is left open then the flash happens just before the shutter closses. So I am able to get the movement then freeze the action with the flash.

Scene # 3 The sparks are applied with a hand grinder by my assistant. Just a little tingle with the camera lens open for about 3 seconds as the sparks move across the body.

It appears very intense but mostly due to the long exposure.
